I am very glad to encounter this site -- it is much needed. While I acknowledge that many of the moderators of other sites who make this space necessary act out of good will, what happened to Marie on Quora is an example of the dangerous slippery slope we are on in the campaign to eliminate "hate".
I look forward to participating as I have a few "unconventional" takes on some of the social issues of our times. I just hope that the site does not get overrun with "false flag troll.
Thank you very much for this post, and please feel free to use the site to the fullest.
As I think I've mentioned before, I do acknowledge that the moderators of Quora and other sites most likely aren't sitting by their computers rubbing their hands together thinking "ooooh imma f$#k with some freethinkers today!" and that they do have good intentions, I still find it ignorant and uncaring how they go about their moderation.
Nevertheless, Flustered Neutral will burn to the ground in ashes before I allow a crowd of fascists to bombard me with emails telling me I need to stop the people who are talking bad about feminists on this site. You are free to say whatever you want to here, as long as you are not truly inciting hatred or possible genocide.
We will not blanket our moderation reasoning with pitiful and childish "be nice, be respectful" policies that could be used to target any user on anything they say, we only ask that you do not promote illegal activity or harass other users.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy, and welcome to Flustered Neutral!
